About Georgia and Bob

Georgia Jump was raised in Palm Springs (CA) and spent many years on the East Coast working with contractors at Jump Lumber Company where she was principal designer in the Interiors Department - specializing in Kitchen and Bath construction and decor.

Georgia moved to the Napa Valley in 1996, purchased a Queen Anne Victorian Inn (La Belle Époque) and set to work honing her decorating and hospitality skills in the Bed and Breakfast industry. Her natural love and care for guests plus her talent with culinary creations brought acclaim through published articles as well as a steady stream of visitors from the global population of travelers.

Georgia sold her B&B in 2001 and relocated to Arizona where she completed her studies in Interior Design at Tucson Design College. Her firm, Madera Design Services,was a culmination of her early works on the East Coast, the successful operation of a Bed and Breakfast Inn, and through her formal education as an Interior Design specialist.

Bob Marquard moved to Napa and then Green Valley from the East Coast after selling his business in New Jersey. He was trained as an engineer at Lehigh University before he went into the manufacturing business. For over 40 years he owned and operated Schneider and Marquard a business that specialized in "small tooling and machining".

Bob always has enjoyed drawing and painting and his ability to translate his thoughts onto paper were a valuable asset to his company and played a significant role in the engineering/design work his company performed. When he moved to Arizona, Bob also studied at Tucson Design College where he acquired his certificate in Interior Design. He worked with his wife in Madera Design Services.

Within their interior design portfolio is the management of the Tubac (AZ) Embarcadero project:

• This project, winner of several prestigious awards for outstanding architectural design, Tubac Embarcadero features 108 fully furnished turnkey one, two and three bedroom luxury town homes.

• The Governor’s Mansion Club House interiors including a Reception Hall, Game/Meeting Room and Exercise Room were also designed by Madera Design Services.

• Anza Marketplace (formally Tubac Nob Hill Gourmet Market and Restaurant) 3000-square-foot gourmet foods market with a 60-seat restaurant. and Presidio Cafe were also projects whose interiors were designed by Madera Design Services.

Georgia and Bob left Arizona in January 2009 to relocate back to their beloved Napa, CA. Now settled into their former hometown, they have hung out their shingle as innsitters and consultants for bed and breakfast inns throughout Northern California as well as the California Gold Country and Central Coast.
